Do you already have a gmail account? If not, please register for a new Gmail account!
Login to Gmail
Click on “Calendar” tab on the top of screen. This will bring you to your Google calendar!
SNAP 1 :
On the top right hand side you will see a row that gives you the option of viewing your calendar by Day, Week, Month, 4 days and Agenda.
Please click on each to get familiar with the views.
* Make sure to set the calendar to Easter Standard Time
Using Google Calendar you are able to accept upcoming events and also request any time off.
Accepting an Event with Google Calendar
Open up your Gmail account
Open up email invitation
Here you can read about the event details and decide whether or not you are available to work the event.
At the bottom of the page you will see the question “Going?” to which you would respond YES if you accept the event or NO if you are passing on the event at this time.
Once clicked on Yes or No the event will then be added to your Google Calendar and you can review it at any time!
Requesting Time Off
Open the Google Calendar tab.
To request time off please click on the “Create” red button on the top left of screen.
In this screen you will title your event “________ (Your name) R/O (Request Off)”
Enter the date(s) applicable and times if necessary.
In “Description” field, enter an explanation for R/O
Next we want to add the event to the Chocolate Tales Calendar so we will add that to your event by typing his email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) in the “Add guests” box to the right of your screen.
Click the add button to add events!
Click red “Save” button at top of screen and voila! Your R/O has been sent!
We will review and accept upon terms.
